GAUDET LAB OVERVIEW, PHILOSOPHY, & MORE
Gaudet Lab Overview:
The Gaudet Lab explores strategies targeting neuroinflammation to benefit cellular, molecular, and behavioral repair after neurotrauma and neurologic disorders.
We study preclinical rodent models of spinal cord injury and mood disorders. We strive to use rigorous and innovative techniques to enhance axon plasticity and neuroprotection. Our work has implications for locomotor recovery, chronic pain, and behaviors related to anxiety and depression.
PHILOSOPHY:
Our lab aims to produce high-quality, reproducible, and pioneering research that contributes meaningfully to the field of neuroscience. We will publish long-lasting, seminal research through effective team communication and collaboration, and by leveraging persistent curiosity and critical thought in search of new discoveries. In parallel, we will recruit, train, and mentor passionate researchers to foster career success and a drive for lifelong learning.
VISION:
We will reveal new pathways and therapeutic targets that will enhance the field’s mechanistic understanding and clinical treatment of nervous system injury and disorder.
